About ScoreMarch
temet nosceLatin“know thyself”
Two Latin words under our crest, after the Greek maxim inscribed at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. Everything we do begins with them.
The applicants admissions readers remember are not the ones with the most polished files. They are the ones with the most interesting lives, and the discipline to show them.
Students ask us one question again and again: how do I craft a compelling narrative? We have one answer: “Become an interesting and a genuinely passionate person in whatever you’re doing. The rest comes along.”
So we work from the inside out. First the student: what they care about, how they think, what they would do if no one were counting. Then the evidence: real work inside global firms valued at $70 billion or more, a personal website, essays in their own words, and mentors who went first. Only then the application.
The SAT taught us the same lesson in numbers. Our SAT track has run since December 2022: 46 students, a median score of 1450, and every score on an official College Board report. A score, like a march, is built from small steps, counted honestly.
Today ScoreMarch has two houses under one crest. ScoreMarch Group advises on admissions and education; ScoreMarch Academy prepares students for the SAT. We are based in Samarkand, and we work with students wherever they are.
A score is the number on a report. It is also a tally kept honestly: the four strokes and a slash on our crest. A march is steady, disciplined progress, made of small steps. And March is the month most regular-decision letters arrive. Know thyself, keep score, march, and you will be ready when they do.

The crest
A shield with one rounded corner, quartered in black and white: a book, an acorn, an oak leaf, and a tally. Beneath it, two Latin words.
לְמַד · lemad · “learn”
The open book carries one Early Aramaic word, lemad: the command “learn.” Its root, L-M-D, also gives lamad (to learn), limed (to teach), talmid (student), and melamed (teacher). In one root, learning and teaching are the same act.

Potential
Every student arrives with more than anyone can yet see, sometimes including the student. We start by looking for it.
Growth, fulfilled
Strength and endurance, given time and patient work. Oaks grow slowly, and they last.
The count
The tally keeps score: of practice tests, of drafts, of days. A march is made of small steps, counted honestly.
Discipline, with one soft corner
The square corners stand for discipline: the work, done properly. The rounded one stands for patience with the person doing it. The whole is drawn in black and white, the way we report results: plainly.
Temet nosce
Latin for “know thyself,” after the Greek maxim inscribed at the Temple of Apollo at Delphi. It comes before everything else, so it sits beneath everything else.
Read the diagonals. The black quarters hold the work: the book and the tally. The white quarters hold the growth: the acorn and the oak. One diagonal is effort; the other is what effort becomes.
Six principles we hold ourselves to, written down so you can hold us to them.
Strategy starts with who you are, not with a ranking.
Real preparation, official tests, official reports. No shortcuts.
No ghostwriting: we never write essays for students. We ask, challenge, and refine, and the words stay yours.
Real projects with real deliverables. No invented activities, no inflated titles.
We never promise admission; no one honestly can. If we can’t help, we say so. In the Academy, if we can’t see the way to your target, we take no money.
We take a small number of students each season, so every student works with the people doing the work.
A small team, by design. You work directly with the people below.

How mentorship worksOne home city in Uzbekistan, and online sessions for students anywhere in the world.
A city of scholars for centuries. Between 1417 and 1420, Ulugh Beg built a madrasa on the Registan where mathematics and astronomy were taught, and his observatory followed soon after.
